Well,

I got written up, so I'[m now on cell restriction.  I had my D-board yesterday, and I got four days cell restriction, no loss of good time, plus, I can go to my groups, and meetings.  I got it for passing and recieving.

There’s nothing that i like about Augusta and Kennebec County Jail.  Officer Morrisette was my favorite officer.  All the other guards I really didn’t know.  They hired some.  Officer Cote was alright.  She did the female trustees.  She put me in laundry.  they were good to me when I got my good time.  I had five months in and they gave me 165 days.

I get out, I’m hoping, the first week of June.

Love,

Miss Linda

Hi, everyone.

We have male guards work here and you are respected.  On Christmas a couple of male guards played spades with us.

This place isn’t that bad; you have a lot of freedom.  The longest you’re in your room – 3 1/2 hours – is during visits on weekends.  The food isn’t too bad, but that’s where I’d like to have someone order me a care package.  Sometimes I go to bed hungry.  The cook is all hung up on the budget cuts.  We get a lot of pasta, chicken, sandwiches, but absolutely no deserts.

I’m doing seven groups plus working two days in the kitchen.

I’ve seen more women get lugged back to the prison.  One woman who got lugged was because she brought pills and pot back with her from work.  The had the dogs here and one of the dogs sniffed the pot in the paper towel holder.

I do have a really good roommate. I don’t mingle with anyone else.

Miss Linda

Hi.

Pete has stood right by me.

He was there everytime I was in court.  He came and visited me.  I really had to prepare him for the worse .  He was kinda hoping for a county bid,  but I really wanted out of Kennebec County.  The place was so bad (guards) and the place was so filthy.  He was there when I got sentenced and he took it really hard.   But guess what?  We made it through!

Love,

Miss Linda

Sorry that it took so long for me to write back.  Thank you for the list of books, but I asked the officer about sending in for the books you rfedcommended and she said she wasn’t sure abourt having those books sent in.

Well, I’ve got a lot of time, hanging. Nine years with four years probation.  I was at the prison for three weeks bgeroer I came to pre-release.  I”m so mucdh happier here 0 akit if freedinm smoke ciggarettes, food is so much better.

I’m going to four A.A. meetings (in=house) a week, and I”m starting to take classes.  I’m truing to get on Mark’s crew to the animal shelter, and I’m going to start working with mental health.

This place is so spotless.  Windham Prison is so bad with Val.  She says it’s her prison and she’ll run it her way.  And the level system really sucked.  The officers here treat you sooooo good (respect.)

Well, I’d really love to hear back from you soon.

Hey bloggers and readers! This is Sundog giving you the ins and outs of MCC. When I get to Charleston, I will be giving you the rundown there as well. So, let’s get to it!

The “cops” or as we like to think of them “Rent-a-Cops,” are really taking their jobs way too serious. I want everyone to know Hussey’s Name.  He is a c/o that after lunch and dinner throws away about 40 oranges. Now it bothers me because 1) He’s throwing away perfectly good fruit. It’s usually oranges and apples. 2) He is the only shitbag c/o that does this. So the inmates that don’t leave commissary can’t have snacks. I think it’s bullshit. 3) I also think “If” the inmates themselves aren’t eating them in the first place then maybe they should think about some fruit that isn’t costing taxpayers money to be thrown away. Do some “research,” people. And to the shitbag inmates that ruin that privilege, don’t deserve them anyways. The ones making Honch, mmmm, rotted fruit. Yum.

I gotta say He is pretty much the only shitbag I’ve come across here. So far. Everyone else is chill and knows how to commisserate with the inmates. C/O Lincoln. Lincoln is the cutest c/o I’ve seen in a long time. She is tough when she needs to be, but perfect for A-POD. She holds her own. So far, so good. God knows if one of the crazy’s wanted to, they could take her out in a minute. Thank god that doesn’t happen. She’s a cool shit. I could totally see myself having a cold draft Blue Moon beer with her. Although, that will never happen.

Now about our lovely caseworkers:

Sue is doing A-L and Gretchen (illegible, name may be inaccurate) is doing M-Z. Gretchen has her shit together. She has been here longer. Sue knows what she’s doing but she her sweet ass time. She almost seems as though it’s a bother to her. Her own job. She’s been here for 4 years. Time’s cheap Sue, please go retire. As for Gretchen, cute as a button, knows her shit and is pleasant to talk with. But inmates beware: Every single Jail and Prison is completely full. People are waiting 8 to 12 weeks to leave for  minimum. No Joke. I hope I don’t have to wait that long. Fingers crossed. I’ll be glad when I do leave, I’ll know some guys who will be in the same spot as me.

They are so full here that they are actually putting people in SEG because there’s no room anywhere else. I think that’s disgusting. SEG IS A DUNGEON!!!

Now, let’s talk about why we are so full. The reason I’m in here. Driving violations. Now, I’ve met some guys in here who have robbed and burglarized homes who get less time than me. I was driving (SOBER) one mile down the road dropping off Christmas presents to an  elderly lady. I’m here for 18 months. That’s fuckin BULLSHIT. There are alot of people in here who have done way worse than me and have  less time. IT SUCKS! I’m sorry about what happened to Tina Turcotte but it’s way-overcrowded because of driving violations. The state loves that money. It’s sickening. To her parents, way to go, assholes: I understand why. I just think there’s gotta be a happy medium  about it. I am “NOT” a criminal. I just get caught driving. SOBER. Doing incredible things for people! And I get the SHIT end of the stick. I do take it like a man.

SHOUTOUTS: I have made a couple of good friends so far. I’m happy about that. One offered me a good paying job when I leave. The other offered friendship. I like them both. Thanks for having my back guys.

TO THE MAN OF MY DREAMS: I can’t wait to be free and together. (Wherever you are.)

Take care for now.

I’ll write back!

The weather has been pretty good.  I’ve been walking around the track, and enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.

Guess what?  They moved all of Charlie Pod over to Alpha Pod (which used to be protective custody; they no longer have a protective custody pod at the Prison.  They did away with it.)

Things are going good and for the most part, except for some code blues and reds, people have been behaving.  I’m still writing back and fourh to my sister and she visits me from time to time.  Been reading alot and watching t.v.  There are some people in here that I talk to and to tell you the truth,  I think that I am talking a little more than I used to.  Still slowly working on my Dungeons and Dragons world, and I am still looking for some more spells from that Dragonsfoot website – mostly cantrips to 4th level spells.

Is anyone out there playing any AD&D?

Kenny “Malibu-Owl” McDonald

Waiting to get transferred for three months now; trying to get closer to home, practically been begging to get closer to see my ailing parents.  Mom is 65 and Dad is 80 and I haven’t seen them for almost a year due to their health.  Why do we have to go through such ignorance?  One of my parents could die and I would never get the chance to talk to them again, all cause I had to wait on a stupid list.  I say I should be put on the top and taken care of for medical reasons, but no, they would have to die for them to do anything.

What kind of people are they?

Juice.

Hey Holistix,

That’s just a rumor about them taking out the vending machines so far, but they have taken the machines out of A-Pod (that’s where they keep the PC cases) because they kept damaging them.  Although I am surprised that they haven’t taken the machines out of our pod (people have found ways of getting free food out of the machines, if you know what I mean.)  Me and X are in the same pod, so yes, we do bump into each other often.  As for Madman, I haven’t seen him.  I don’t think that he is in the prison.

During rec., I do go walking around the track a lot, and I hang out at the library.  I do read the bible.  As for my gaming world, it’s going well.  Like I said, it’s going to be 98% water and I’m using New Zealand and Tasmania in it.  Most of the cities, towns and villages will be located mostly on the coast.  I ‘m going to use a touch of Freeport in it and yes, there will be a fantasy version of L.L. Beans. Plus, I am going to be using the names of some of the maine coastal cities, towns and villages, like Bar Harbor and others.  Once of the races I’m using is the Shi’ar Aliens from Marvel comics.  If anyone has any information on them, I would greatly appreciate it.

Well, goodnight, and hope to hear from someone soon.

I am not sure about G.P. On the mags. I do know that C.O.’s had to fight for us to be able to keep getting our maxims, no nudity here. Even easyriders with awesome titties are a thing of the past. When guys come in from other places they can have porn, but when they search our rooms later on, any found are taken. I still have one issue of my easyriders that the shit – bags didn’t get. Just happens to be a good one. With any luck at all I’ll only be in prison a bit over 8 – more months. Then I’ll get something real.

I’d like to be able to find a pen – pal around Portland. As I’ve said, I’m not sure what’ll be happening when I get out up at Green Lake. My father may die before I get out, or worse, give all of my shit away before I can get out. He pissed me off by giving one piece of property away. We own somethings jointly so I think I’m safe. I’d like to find a woman down here. Maybe end up moving down this way. If nothing else, find one to have visits with or something. I really can’t even talk to these guys, untrustworthy! No women contact is bad enough for me, but need someone to write. I’m dying here…

Trying to get moved to a good room in prison is like pulling teeth.  Roommates suck, specially if they thing there the greatest thing – if they have been in for a while.  They try to control the room.

Tried for weeks to tell  C.O. After C.O. With the same response: “No.”  They would rather see a fight then make life better for someone who isn’t getting along in the room we are in.  What are we suppose to do?
